Lazo Tyee Farm Comox, B.C.
Bob & Char Sieffert
On the beautiful Comox Peninsula lies the 150 acre Siefferts Farm. Bob is a second generation farmer whose father began Lazo Tyee Farm back in 1963. Its tree spotted land and ocean view make the Siefferts farm one of the most charming around. Along with wife Char, the Sieffert family have cultivated a thriving agricultural feat. Bobs Mom can be seen working the farm at 88 years young!
Well known for the excellent veggies they produce and yearly market, the Siefferts also produce the finest potatoe you can buy. Today the farm is a producing several types of potatoes, such as Early Nuggets, Whites, Reds, Yukon Gold and Russet potatoes. The rich soil and optimum growing conditions make the Sieffert’s potatoes the best tasting anywhere. We are pleased to have the Lazo Tyee Farm a part of the Vancouver Island Produce growing group.
Freezer Corn (tastes just like nibblets corn)
10 cups corn cut off the cob
¼ cup sugar
1 tbsp salt
1 pint water
Use less sugar if the corn is a very sweet variety.
Put in a baking pan (fits 9x13 quite well).
Bake in oven @ 325 for 3/4 -1 hour.
Stir often.
Let cool and freeze in portion sizes.
Enjoy!
